The newest trends were subjected to debate at Internet & Mobile World 2016

The biggest expo-conference of digital and IT&C solutions for businesses in Central and East Europe, Internet & Mobile World transformed the Central Pavilion at Romexpo, during the period of 5-6 October, in the biggest technology hub, gathering over 8,500 specialists in IT&C and marketing.

The event was a real attraction to the participants as they had numerous benefits: an expo zone with over 1,800 solutions and devices, so that the guests could find the proper tools for their business, 5 premium content areas with 130 speakers, specialists in their area of expertise: online marketing, business innovation, e-commerce, Java, JavaScript, enterprise solutions and much more.

One of the participants that is working for a bank says about the 2016 edition of IMWorld: „It is the place where you find relevant B2B brands and products. It is an excellent opportunity of finding passionate professionals, I recommend it!”

The participants could choose out of 3 type of tickets:

The event organizers, Universum Events, are very pleased with the experience they managed to create for the 8,500 participants and want to take it to the next level in the coming years, keeping the same format. The future events will also have more international study cases presented by speakers that will help shed some light on best practices in IT&C and marketing industry.

One of the speakers of the event, Dr. Patrick Kramer, Chief Cyborg Officer Digiwell – Upgrade your life! and an advocate of Internet-of-US caught the attention of the public at the Main Stage by inserting a NFC chip in the hand of George Buhnici, renowned for his television shows and IT&C passion. The NFC chip allows the user to open the door, the car, payments and unlock the phone from a distance.

In the marketing area the event hosted Nitzan Tamari, VP marketing & Strategy SimilarWeb, was one of the most appreciated speakers for the analysis he did regarding Romanian e-commerce, especially having Black Friday campaigns for a few years in Romania. Oliver Meister, Director & Head of Business Development & Legal – oriel.io, talked about user experience and the concept of adblock with Ben Williams – Director of Operations and Communications Eyeo (Adblock Plus).

In the developers area the event hosted Phil Hawksworth, Technology Director R/GA, started with an open discussion about JavaScript and Java. Geertjan Wielenge, Principal Product Manager – Oracle took the discussion further, talking about Java Developers in an enterprise. The scene dedicated to Enterprise Solutions focused on infrastructure, data security and especially on software developing and cloud technologies.

Telekom Romania the events partner since the beginning, presented smart solutions available through Deutsche Telekom cluster: a smart solution to collect waste and to charge electrical cars. One of the main attractions was an interactive screen that the visitors can use to see all the smart projects that are being implemented in Bucharest for the pilot project – Smart City.

One of the most impressive technologies presented at the event were:

Xpert Eye – smart glasses for teleconferences

eBlocker – for a secure web surfing, that doesn’t let back digital fingerprints and does not allow tertiary parts to collect the data

ComfyLight – a smart illuminating system that helps keeing the house when the owners are not there

Raiffesein bank launched a competition for IT&C specialists, to code directly in the robots’ system and change their behavior and movements. Needless to say the challenge was accepted and the fun began.

EuroCloud Forum gathered almost 600 representatives from companies and institutions like European Comission, The National Institute for Tehnology and Standards USA, Microsoft, Google and Amazon Web Services, where the main themes that were up for debate covered cloud technologies and legislation.

In this year, IMWorld is co-located with EuroCloud Forum, the biggest European forum for cloud industry. Details about EuroCloud and registration for the event is available at forum.eurocloud.org.
