Bucharest, September 4th, 2018: Smart Alliance – Innovation Technology Cluster together with IKT Telemark have signed a partnership agreement, an important step in developing joint projects. “The premise of the first project, which involves the research and development of a matchmaking platform that will incorporate new technologies, was created for the B2B sector in Romania and Norway,” said Emanuela MODORAN, CEO of Smart Alliance Cluster.

The main purpose is to build an online portal whereby any registered member finds a reliable and trusted business partner with whom they can develop national and international projects. By using state-of-the-art technologies, such as machine learning or artificial intelligence (AI), we will change how traditional matchmaking websites work in the business environment. The platform will also have an intranet component to ease the communication between members of the two ICT clusters.

“This is the beginning of a long-term business relationship. The goal is to create a platform where each company has the guarantee of quality and trust, where you can find a partner from anywhere, anytime. Facilitating this communication is truly innovative and unique because this “business matchmaking” is only available at certain events and we want you to have it at all times,“said Torkild FOLLAUG, CEO of IKT Telemark.

IKT Telemark is one of Norway’s largest ICT clusters. With over 45 members, companies and universities and public institutions, IKT Telemark is one of Norway’s most important players specialized in software, data protection, storage, cryptography and security.

We are in a situation where the business market in Romania and in many European countries is losing its substance and real partnerships become volatile and superficial due to the speed with which we need to adapt and innovate. From the very beginning we wanted to do things differently. Through all our actions, as part of building innovation, although we have maintained the same vision, the internationalization effort did not exist in an efficient and organized way. That is why we want to develop this “SMART Matchmaking” platform to make our business partnerships much easier through a smart, intuitive platform developed in partnership with our Norwegian partners from ICT Telemark. It will act as a bridge between Romanian and Norwegian firms, and we want to develop it continuously so that we can offer the most business opportunities for ICT companies in both countries, “said Gabriel MUNTEANU, President of Smart Alliance – Innovation Technology Cluster.

The matchmaking platform will include both small and medium sized businesses, and large and very large businesses. Within the platform, companies can find partners for their own projects and be selected to participate in different auctions. Through this platform, Smart Alliance – Innovation Technology Cluster aims to help both Romanian and Norwegian businesses communities to find local and foreign partners to develop large-scale projects that accelerate their growth process in a sustainable way. The project will be carried out in partnership with ICT Telemark, seeking access to Norwegian funds, SMEs Growth Romania, Innovation Norway.
